Our take on Airport Madness 4
Instead of placing the player in a cockpit, the game makes air traffic coordination the central task. Its challenge comes from managing clearances and keeping varied aircraft separated across airport scenarios.
What is Airport Madness 4?
Coordinate air traffic at six airports by issuing takeoff, landing, and taxi clearances.
The game presents 12 challenges, including activity at an Area 51 airport, and asks players to keep aircraft moving while avoiding collisions. Radar, human pilot voices, bad weather, and emergencies add to the tasks. Aircraft include helicopters, float planes, F15 fighter jets, space shuttles, Boeing 747s, Airbus A380s, and the Concorde, with different performance characteristics to recognize. The game also features aircraft carriers and a revised physics engine for aircraft movement and behavior. Play centers on monitoring traffic and making clearance decisions rather than watching events unfold.
