Our take on Airport Madness 3D
The bounce point comes when radar monitoring and traffic management become the central task. Players who want a passive airport view may hit a wall when they must scan for potential conflicts and manage aircraft moving into and out of the airport.
What is Airport Madness 3D?
Airport Madness 3D places players in a virtual control tower, where they manage jet traffic moving into and out of nine real-world airports.
Players can pan around each airport, adjust the tower height, and choose among three views: tower, runway threshold, and pilot cam. Surface and airborne radar displays support scanning for potential conflicts between aircraft. Good or bad weather can be selected, while animated windsocks react to gusty winds. The game includes human pilot voices, aircraft sounds, and flight characteristics that depict takeoff rotation and landing flare. Each airport has two separate traffic patterns, which can be reversed, and multiple gameplay modes are available.
