Play it if you…
Good fit- Fans of story-driven first-person shooters who want an episodic campaign
- Players who enjoy using physics-like environmental tools during combat and puzzles
- Action players seeking separate exploration, sandbox, and endless-wave modes

Saves you a refund- Players seeking a single continuous campaign may find the episodic structure less suitable
- Players who prefer straightforward gunplay may not want combat and puzzles tied to environmental manipulation
- Players looking specifically for multiplayer shooting will not find that focus here
Our take on ADACA
The game splits its scope across a campaign, a nonlinear exploration mode, a sandbox level, and endless combat. That variety reduces the focus of any single progression path, especially for players seeking one uninterrupted story.
What is ADACA?
ADACA is a sci-fi first-person shooter set on a mysterious, hostile planet.
Its robotic prosthetic arm can move loose objects and pull weapons from enemies, making environmental manipulation part of combat and puzzle solving. The story campaign follows Jessy Thorn through multiple episodes and focuses on surviving factions, police forces, and secrets buried in the planet’s past. A separate exploration experience follows Sgt. Lexi Abrams through nonlinear quests and missions in the Calico Valley Exclusion Zone. The game also includes a Playground level for experimenting in its sandbox and an Endless Battle mode built around unlimited enemy waves.

ADACA compared to similar games
ADACA combines first-person shooting with environmental manipulation, an episodic story campaign, nonlinear exploration, sandbox experimentation, and endless waves. Abyssus centers on cooperative multiplayer shooting through hand-crafted levels in a roguelite structure, while Jusant focuses on climbing, stamina management, and environmental exploration rather than firearm combat.
