Our take on Acid Planet
Instead of keeping tower defense focused on stationary placement, Acid Planet adds direct movement, automatic shooting, drone commands and wave-by-wave character upgrades. Its structure also combines run-based progression with boss encounters, replacing a conventional fixed-defense campaign with repeated attempts and evolving builds.
What is Acid Planet?
Acid Planet combines horde survival, tower defense and strategy in a series of missions set on a desert planet.
The player controls a clone, moves a crew member, uses automatic defenses and personal weapons, and commands drones against escalating monster swarms. Towers and drone factories can be placed around the ship, with positioning affecting the defense. Between waves, players select abilities or upgrades, while encounters with desert inhabitants offer risks and rewards. Each run culminates in a Kaiju battle, with seven missions and different bosses. Recovered Kaiju cores provide progression between runs, alongside more than 25 unlockable items. The game includes over 50 perks, buildings and weapons, plus Hotshot and Freak difficulty settings.
