Our take on Abscond
Abscond departs from level-based action games by making the score run the main structure. Instead of moving through a sequence of stages, play centers on continuous hazard avoidance, changing enemy behavior, powerups, and attempts to improve leaderboard results.
What is Abscond?
Abscond is a minimalistic score-chasing game in which players control a small flaming circle.
The objective is to avoid obstacles, projectiles, and enemies while collecting points and trying to set a higher score. Enemies have different behaviors: some signal their appearance, while others can be destroyed by another enemy. Difficulty increases during play, and white-square powerups appear along the way. Movement requires timing and agility. Steam leaderboards support score competition with friends, and Steam Achievements provide additional objectives. The game uses minimal graphics, music, and a short-session structure focused on beating previous scores.
