A Timely Intervention is a role-playing game that follows two separate parties during its opening section, switching between their stories before they meet and join forces.
Each group has its own aims. The game includes 10 characters, with up to five active party members for combat planning. Several skills improve through repeated use. Four difficulty settings are available: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Legendary. Players can choose whether enemies are visible and adjust encounter frequency when enemies are hidden. Movement supports eight directions using mouse or keyboard input. The game also includes 17 side quests, 30 secret rooms, and more than 30 hours of gameplay.
