Penguin Wars is an exploration-based adventure novel game played with keyboard movement and mouse clicks on a PC.
Players guide a girl through a town at night, choosing where to go and whom to speak with during the final week before the stars perish. Clicking objects and movement points opens routes through the setting and advances the story. Visual sequences, music, and sound accompany the exploration. The game includes 19 soundtrack tracks, excluding sound effects and jingles, along with downloadable MP3 versions of guitar and piano pieces performed by the protagonist, Kokoro-chan. Reaching all endings takes approximately 6-7 hours.
