What is 1406?
Play as Mike Williams, a writer researching paranormal phenomena who travels to the abandoned city of Centralia, Pennsylvania, to find material for his unfinished book.
Although he treats ghost stories as a source of income and doubts that spirits exist, his visit leads to a frightening encounter. The setting draws on Centralia’s history, including the underground coal fire that spread beneath the town and led to the relocation of roughly 1,000 residents. The game presents a horror atmosphere, a soundtrack, puzzles, and multiple possible endings. Its story follows Mike’s attempt to survive the events he encounters while searching the deserted city for inspiration.
