This fantasy strategy game places the player in command of Shu Han’s Bai’er Army, a legendary mercenary unit, during campaigns connected to Liu Bei’s life.
Recruit unaffiliated officers and some enemy commanders, then lead them through battles including the defense of Xu Province and Changban. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei appear as reinforcements rather than as the player’s main characters. The commander’s defeat ends a battle’s campaign, while other defeated officers leave the roster for later fights.
