Saves you a refund- Players seeking real-time combat may bounce off the turn-by-turn structure
- Those who prefer a small, fixed roster may find 14 Commanders and more than 30 unit types demanding to learn
- Players looking only for a single-player experience may not use its multiplayer and map-editor systems
Our take on Warside
Players may bounce off the Commander system before a battle begins: choosing among 14 leaders means accounting for different passive skills and timing-sensitive Battle Powers. The broad unit roster can create another wall for anyone who wants to manage only a few standardized troops.
What is Warside?
Warside is a turn-based tactics game built around Commander selection, unit deployment, terrain, and timed Battle Powers.
Its single-player campaign contains over 30 missions, including standard battles, escort operations, rescues, and covert assignments across forest, desert, snow, and toxic wasteland settings. Fourteen Commanders provide different passive abilities and Battle Powers. More than 30 unit types cover ground troops, tanks, artillery, submarines, warships, helicopters, jets, snipers, medics, mortar teams, and saboteurs. Faction-specific units add mechanics tied to each faction. Multiplayer supports local and internet matches, while the mission editor allows custom maps for solo and multiplayer play. Pixel art presents the battlefield and its environments.
