Is Zombie Forest 2 worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Zombie-survival fans who want both a directed story and an open-ended endurance mode
- Players who prefer managing a small group rather than controlling only one survivor
- Strategy-RPG players interested in shelter construction, resource gathering, and moral decisions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly focused action game may find the hunger, thirst, trading, and shelter-management systems interrupt the journey.
- Players wanting a purely linear campaign may not prefer the separate Survival mode and its repeated base-defense cycle.
- Players looking for large-scale group management may find the stated limit of 8 characters restrictive.
Our take on Zombie Forest 2
The store pitch gives equal weight to weapons, vehicles, shelter defenses, trading, moral choices, and survival needs, but the core structure is a two-mode game split between a shelter journey and repeated base management.
What is Zombie Forest 2?
Zombie Forest 2 follows a survivor travelling toward a shelter after the zombie apocalypse begins.
Story mode combines exploration with hunger, thirst, moral decisions, combat, equipment finds, and encounters with survivors, marauders, and zombies. Survival mode focuses on maintaining a group: gather resources, build shelter structures and defenses, trade, hunt for food, and raid nearby areas during the day, then prepare for attacks at night. The group can include up to 8 characters, each with specializations and improved abilities. More than 40 weapon types are available, while a vehicle can be upgraded for combat. Resources can be mined, and found or looted items can be exchanged with other survivors and traders.
