Our take on Ys SEVEN
Rather than centering combat on one hero, the game makes real-time party control part of its core structure. Switching among up to three characters and combining different attack types replaces the single-character action format associated with earlier Ys entries.
What is Ys SEVEN?
Ys SEVEN is a 3D action RPG following Adol Christin and Dogi in Altago, a port city recovering from war with the Romun empire.
Adol takes a king’s quest to investigate nearby ruins and becomes involved with the Five Great Dragons, ancient tribes, and earthquakes threatening the land. Real-time combat lets players control up to three party members and switch between them during fights. Battles use pierce, slash, and thrust attacks alongside physical and magical abilities, quick dodges, and flash guarding. The game includes a large overworld, exploration, story-driven quests, and screen-filling bosses. This PC version adds upscaled HD graphics, resolution options, 60 fps gameplay, Steamworks features, achievements, and revised localization.
