Our take on Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles
The relaxed-life framing gives prominence to exploration, but the game also spans professions, farming, crafting, trading, fishing, quests, and collecting. Its scope is therefore broader than a simple island-exploration premise.
What is Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles?
Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles is an open-world adventure on Gemea, an island with eight distinct settings, from warm coastal shores to high, snow-covered peaks.
A mysterious force called the Murk has spread across the land; players search for hidden Sprites and use their abilities to remove it. Activities include fishing, farming, crafting, trading and completing quests. Residents can teach professions such as carpentry, cooking and tailoring, and players can establish and harvest several farms. Wildlife can be befriended and adopted, and character appearance is customizable. The world changes with the seasons, animal migrations, day and night, and shifting weather. Objectives allow for multiple approaches, with tasks such as gathering materials, solving puzzles and caring for farms.
