Our take on YesterMorrow
The bounce point arrives when progression requires using two timelines together: players who want a straightforward platforming route may stall at environmental puzzles that depend on past-versus-future changes and hidden paths.
What is YesterMorrow?
YesterMorrow is a single-player 2D platformer combining combat, environmental puzzles, and a story about Yui's attempt to rescue her family and restore the world's time cycle.
Players travel between the past and a corrupted future, using time shifts to bypass obstacles and reach concealed locations. The journey covers four islands: Forest, Desert, Ice, and Clockwork. Yui learns to use Everlight, gains six special abilities, confronts creatures and bosses, and cleanses areas affected by Shadows. Exploration also includes hidden zones, power-ups, lore entries, interactions with inhabitants, and animals. Puzzle solutions can use the surrounding environment in different ways, while the two timelines present contrasting conditions for traversal and combat.
