Our take on XENOBREAKERS: Classic Tower Defense
Players who want a forgiving mastery system may hit a wall in Hardcore mode: it limits the run to one hit point, keeps difficulty constantly high, awards only one medal per completed level, and removes skill resets.
What is XENOBREAKERS: Classic Tower Defense?
XENOBREAKERS is a tower-defense game about escorting Billy and his crew across a desert planet to an extraction zone.
Place five base towers, upgrade them through three tiers, then choose between two specializations for each tower, creating 15 tower variants with distinct abilities. Four active abilities support defensive setups during enemy waves. Missions award medals that unlock or improve tower and ability skills, with the option to reset and redistribute those skills. The campaign includes 16 levels across four biomes, over 30 enemy types, three boss fights, and a comic told through 12 hand-drawn pages. Regular and Hardcore modes provide different rules, while three difficulty settings adjust the challenge.
