Our take on X Invader
The short-run format keeps each attempt focused, but gives up the slower buildup and extended sessions found in longer action games. Randomized choices add variety while reducing control over the exact build available in a single run.
What is X Invader?
X Invader is an action roguelite about breaking into the servers of major corporations in a dystopian 2080.
Players control X, a hacker investigating a plea for help while Rinascita members provide support. Runs combine combat against monsters and bosses with choices among weapons, perks, builds, and add-ons from fellow hackers. Available options change between runs, allowing different loadouts and approaches. The game uses a horde-shooter format structured around 15-minute sessions. Its story follows X through the servers of three corporations while searching for information and uncovering the truth behind their attempted attack on Rinascita’s hidden server.
