Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want to keep every follower safe may hit a wall when battles and occult tasks put followers in danger.
- Players who want a forgiving boss structure may hit a wall when a single boss can end their cult.
- Players seeking a purely action-focused game may not enjoy the added base building, exploration, and puzzle solving.
- Players who prefer non-occult settings may not fit the game's cult rituals and eldritch themes.
Our take on Worship
The bounce point is follower command under lethal pressure: battles and occult tasks can cost followers, so players who want to protect every member may hit a wall there. A second pressure point is the boss system, since a boss can end the cult and its run.
What is Worship?
Worship is a roguelike combining real-time strategy, exploration, and puzzle solving.
Players build a cult base, construct monuments, gain blessings, and learn rituals while converting followers into an army. Followers can be directed during battles and other occult activities, including tasks that may lead to their deaths. Blood symbols enable spells, summoned creatures, projectiles, and interactions with puzzles, shrines, and ruins. The world is contested by four factions: The Last Church, the Untamed Akka, the Coven, and the Unseen Depths. Open areas can be explored and corrupted, while bosses can end a cult on their own. Challenges completed during runs unlock gods, powers, skins, and other progression options.
