Our take on World Builder
The bounce point comes before world creation: an HTC Vive is required, and the game is in Early Access. Users who reach that setup stage must also accept the possibility of development issues before experimenting with terrain, weather, oceans, and other creation tools.
What is World Builder?
World Builder is a VR art tool for creating and exploring custom worlds and landscapes.
Users can paint terrain, form mountains, add rivers and oceans, adjust weather and time of day, and select an art style. Voice commands provide another way to control creation. The tool supports world sharing, multiplayer, desktop use, Oculus Rift, and importing custom objects such as items made in Tilt Brush. Construction, animals, and characters are listed among its features. The game is in Early Access and requires an HTC Vive to play. The vendor asks purchasers to be prepared for development issues and to actively support the game’s development.
