Our take on Winter Survivor Protocol
The defining constraint is survival at -40°C while increasingly frequent blizzards compound the zombie threat, making extreme cold part of the game's central structure rather than a background setting.
What is Winter Survivor Protocol?
Survive a zombie outbreak in an environment reaching -40°C, where blizzards become more frequent and supplies must be scavenged across over 10 locations, including bunkers and hospitals.
The journey home combines combat, crafting, vehicle repair, camp construction, farming, and hunting. More than 20 weapon types can be created, including bolt-action rifles and landmines, while the vehicle can be repaired and modified. A camp provides space for crops and survival preparation, and dozens of wild animal species can be hunted for sustenance.
The current version includes 8 survival skills covering areas such as reload speed, stamina consumption, and cooking efficiency. First- and third-person views are available. Multiplayer is planned after testing, while professions and character customization are planned as a free update.

Winter Survivor Protocol compared to similar games
Mr. Prepper also combines survival crafting with base construction, but centers on preparing an underground shelter amid the threat of nuclear war and an authoritarian government. Winter Survivor Protocol instead combines zombie combat, frozen-weather survival, vehicle repair, exploration across over 10 locations, farming, and hunting. Back to the Dawn focuses on investigating and escaping a maximum-security prison, rather than wilderness-style survival and camp upkeep.
