Our take on Wings of Prey: Special Edition
The emphasis on large battles and extensive aircraft support does not foreground that multiplayer is no longer supported. The Special Edition combines the base game with one add-on rather than presenting a new standalone campaign.
What is Wings of Prey: Special Edition?
Wings of Prey: Special Edition combines the original game with the Wings of Luftwaffe add-on.
It presents large-scale aerial combat during World War II, with over 50 missions across six European theatres, including Britain, Stalingrad, Berlin, Sicily, the Ardennes, and Korsun. More than 40 aircraft models include fighters, attack aircraft, and bombers. A difficulty system ranges from arcade-style play to realistic simulation. Battles feature damage effects, environmental visuals, and hundreds of aircraft in the air. The package also lists support for TrackIR, TripleHead2Go, Saitek and Thrustmaster joysticks, mouse controls, and voice headsets. Multiplayer for Wings of Prey is no longer supported.
