Our take on While We Wait Here
The game replaces a conventional catastrophe-focused structure with a diner shift: cooking and cleaning continue while customers respond to the end of the world. It also omits a game-over state, placing the emphasis on conversations and choices rather than failure.
What is While We Wait Here?
Run a small diner near a mountain range as an approaching catastrophe disrupts an ordinary workday.
Take customer orders, cook burgers, fries, and pancakes, serve refreshments, and wash dishes while listening to customers' stories. Talk with them about the impending end of the world as they respond in different ways: some dismiss the threat, while others see it as punishment for their past. The game combines kitchen management and dialogue choices in a psycho-horror experience with multiple endings. It has no game over and presents choices without a single right or wrong answer. Dozens of first-person interactions and fully voiced characters bring the diner and its customers into focus.
