Instead of making cleanup the central task, this simulation assigns pollution as the player’s objective. Its structure uses deliberate misbehavior to address plastic waste in waterways, replacing the usual restorative direction of environmental games with destructive play.
What is What A Trash Game!?
Play as a litterer across a map with outdoor areas, homes, rubbish bins, and dumpsters.
Collect discarded items from these locations, then put them into rivers or the ocean, causing damage to ocean life. The game uses this harmful objective as a form of gamification and reverse psychology to address plastic waste in waterways. Rather than making rubbish collection a cleanup task, it puts pollution at the center of play. The project began as a high school assignment and was later adapted for sale on Steam. Music is credited to Joseph Martel.
