Our take on Welcome to Boon Hill
The graveyard setting may suggest a supernatural adventure, but the core activity is quieter: walking among graves and reading epitaphs. The page also foregrounds ghosts and mystery while making clear that there is no danger, no win scenario, and little beyond exploration, interpretation, and mourning actions.
What is Welcome to Boon Hill?
Boon Hill is a free-roaming graveyard exploration game centered on reading gravestones and interpreting connections between the people they commemorate.
The game has no win or loss condition: players begin by searching for a particular grave, but can continue exploring until they choose to leave. More than a thousand graves and epitaphs form the main content, with stories suggested through shared names, dates, places, and grave-marker styles. Several NPCs, including a mysterious goth girl, can be encountered. Players can choose a male or female protagonist, observe crows, lie in an open grave, and leave up to three flowers per visit while mourning in real time.
