Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed campaign structure may bounce off the randomized areas, rooms, and enemy groups
- Players who prefer low-pressure combat may hit a wall when enemy hordes steadily increase
- Players looking for a single-character action-RPG may find the seven-hero roster and varied playstyles distracting
Our take on Wayward Souls
Players who prefer predictable routes may bounce when randomized rooms, encounters, and enemy groups reshape each run. Those seeking a forgiving defensive build may hit another wall with the fallen paladin, whose strong attacks come with limited healing options.
What is Wayward Souls?
Wayward Souls is a story-focused action RPG set in a cursed tower, where seven heroes take on increasingly large enemy hordes.
Each character has individual abilities and playstyles, and their upgrades and equipment can change their attacks and skills. The game features over 100 kinds of monsters, more than 300 hats, and character-specific story events. Its generated levels and enemy groups vary between runs, with different settings, chamber layouts, unusual locations, battles, and hidden discoveries. Additional modes, including Endless Mode, can be unlocked. The heroes include agile dagger users, a sword-wielding fighter with a shield, a long-range spellcaster, a spellsword, a stealth-focused cultist, and a fallen paladin with restricted healing.
