Our take on Warring States
Instead of the construction and economic layers common in many strategy games, the game concentrates on battlefield decisions. Tactical Points turn successful maneuvers into special attacks, while siege equipment and terrain create distinct combat situations within its turn-based structure.
What is Warring States?
Warring States: Tactics is a turn-based strategy game set during Ancient China's Warring States period.
Players lead Qin forces through 15 historically based story missions, each using a distinct map, with dialogue scenes between battles and in-game exchanges during combat. The hex-grid battles use an IGOUGO turn structure and terrain rules across four environments. Tactical Points are awarded for decisions such as flanking, matching spears against cavalry, and holding high ground, then spent on 18 special moves. Siege encounters include attacks using towers and battering rams. The game has no construction system, keeping its focus on battlefield choices. It also includes 12 battle maps for human or AI opponents, with local and online matches for 2 to 4 players.
