This expanded edition of the ninth Romance of the Three Kingdoms game is a strategy simulation set during China's chaotic Three Kingdoms period.
Players take the role of a daimyo and direct a clan's effort to unify Japan. The game uses one large map to combine strategic planning with battles. Officers receive strategies and carry them out in real time, while facilities and obstacles can be placed on battlefields to support operations. Officers can also learn tactics and use them during strategic battles. The Power Up Kit expands the original game, which was released in 2003 as the ninth entry in the series.
