StrategyIs WARCANA worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want to manage card tech paths while defending a base
- Fans of competitive multiplayer who want battles against up to 30 other players
- Solo players who prefer campaign scenarios and creating their own challenges
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow-paced strategy experience may find simultaneous attacks and base defence demanding.
- Players who prefer a small-scale battle may not enjoy armies built from hundreds of thousands of units.
- Players looking only for a single-player experience may not want the multiplayer modes.
Our take on WARCANA
The central constraint is that card choices also determine the tech route: economy buildings unlock more cards, while a poor route can leave a base exposed to attacks.
What is WARCANA?
WARCANA combines real-time base defence and strategy with deck building.
Players choose primary and secondary devotions, then use cards to summon buildings and units or cast spells. Each card has a tech tree, and economy buildings unlock additional cards, so choices shape which forces and abilities become available. The game includes a single-player campaign with more than 30 scenarios, an editor for creating scenarios, and multiplayer modes. Battle Royale pits players against up to 30 others, with each player facing two direct opponents at a time. Horde Mode focuses on achieving a high kill score, while Stream Sniper mode puts players in online matches with streamers. Battles involve defending against monster attacks while building armies to attack rivals.
