The focus on treasure, quests, and rewards leaves several restrictions less prominent: character development is absent, all characters are at level three, content is unfinished, and inventory can vanish when leaving in town.
What is Wanderfog?
Wanderfog is an online multiplayer game about treasure hunters searching a 30 km desert of sand, stones, reefs, and poisonous fog.
Players undertake quests, seek gold, crystals, coins, ancient weapons, and other artifacts, then return to sell their finds. The game also includes weapon crafting and robbery of other players. It has four character levels, with all characters currently set to level three, and no character development. Items in a bag can disappear when leaving the game in town. On the desert, a dropped bag remains there for 45 minutes so it can be recovered. Quest rewards can include gifts and Steam cards. The vendor identifies the content as unfinished and says quests can be repeated.
