Play it if you…
Good fit- Action RPG players who want dungeon combat with optional party play
- Players seeking mutant-wave and boss-timing challenges
- Competitive players interested in small-scale 1v1 to 5v5 deathmatches
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a finished campaign may bounce off the Early Access state and the absent full story.
- Players wanting a broad progression system may hit a wall with the currently listed two dungeons and 11 stages.
- Players outside North America may encounter latency issues.
- Players using Intel HD Series VGA may encounter reported graphics issues.
Our take on Redemption
The likely bounce point is the Early Access state: players expecting the complete post-apocalyptic story will reach the current content before that narrative is available. Those outside North America may also hit latency problems when entering multiplayer.
What is Redemption?
Redemption is an Early Access action RPG set after World War III, where mutants threaten human civilization.
Players develop characters by clearing two major dungeons containing 11 stages, either alone or in parties. Challenge Mode includes Survival, which requires enduring mutant waves until a time limit, and Boss Rush, which requires defeating every boss within a set time. Annihilation provides individual and team deathmatches ranging from 1v1 to 5v5, with victory going to the first player or team to reach a specified kill total. The full story is planned for a future update. The vendor also lists additional characters, a dungeon, a PvP mode, quests, achievements, and costumes as upcoming possibilities.
