The premise foregrounds privacy, security, and resistance, while the described play centers on contacting factions, investigating, and making narrative choices. The emphasis is on the consequences of those decisions, not on detailed technical security tasks.
What is VSCS-II?
VSCS-II is a retro-styled narrative game set in an alternate future where computer hardware is restricted.
Players use a modified 1980s computer running LunaOS to contact resistance groups, investigate conspiracies, and make choices about privacy and security. Those choices can affect events in both the short and long term, from conversations to criminal acts. Characters and factions differ in their positions on privacy, security, and artificial intelligence, and the player decides whom to support. The story concludes with one of four endings.

- 02Faction alignments
