Its two-device design creates a shared puzzle role for each participant, but also limits play to pairs with compatible VR hardware and a smartphone. The experience centers on coordinated interpretation rather than solo exploration or a broader adventure structure.
What is VR Dungeon?
VR Dungeon is a local cooperative game for two players using an HTC Vive and a smartphone.
One player explores the dungeon in virtual reality and must escape, while the other uses the smartphone to interpret ancient glyphs on the walls. Together, the players solve puzzles, search for treasure, and work toward escaping the dungeon. The second player can download a companion app from the Play Store by scanning a QR code. Guides, including a printer-friendly version, are also available for players without an Android smartphone.
