Our take on Void Frontiers
The changing island layouts and stacked upgrades trade fixed-world familiarity for variation. Base construction also comes with recurring defense duties, so development is tied to preparing for and responding to nighttime attacks.
What is Void Frontiers?
Void Frontiers is a survival roguelike set across randomly generated floating islands.
Exploration involves discovering different biomes, collecting materials such as wood, stone, and rare ores, and using them to make tools, weapons, buildings, and equipment upgrades. A main island serves as a base that can be expanded and reinforced. Enemy groups attack when night arrives, requiring preparation and combat to protect the settlement. Progress also includes more than 40 enhancements that modify statistics and grant abilities, with effects that can stack. Players choose among champions with distinct abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, including magical, ranged, and melee approaches. The game supports solo play or cooperative sessions with up to 4 other players.
