Our take on Voice Quest
Voice commands give the platforming its defining identity, but they also make microphone use part of the core control scheme. Mouse or gamepad steering remains available, while full controller support is identified as a future addition.
What is Voice Quest?
Voice Quest is a 3D platformer controlled partly through a microphone.
Spoken commands such as “jump,” “run,” “walk,” and “stop” direct Shadow Man, while a mouse or gamepad controls aiming. The game contains seven levels that increase in complexity, with bananas to collect and strawberry enemies to avoid. A skull provides humorous commentary during the journey. Music changes with progression and in-game time. An online leaderboard tracks speed, banana totals, deaths, and combined performance categories. The on-screen display shows deaths, bananas, and current time. The game runs on Steam Deck, and the listing says full controller support is planned.
