Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking fast action may lose interest during tracking, positioning, and extended wilderness travel.
- Those unwilling to manage realistic weapon handling, ballistics, ammunition, and careful shot placement may hit a wall at the shooting and hunting systems.
- Players looking for a story-driven adventure rather than repeatable hunts and trophy collection may find the structure limited.
- Solo players who specifically want a multiplayer-focused experience will not use the cooperative hunting mode.
Our take on Virtual Hunter
The bounce point arrives at the hunt itself: players must manage equipment, read animal behavior, position carefully, and account for weapon and ammunition choices. Anyone expecting immediate shooting may lose interest before reaching the trophy and lodge systems.
What is Virtual Hunter?
Virtual Hunter is a virtual reality hunting game set across a large wilderness.
Players choose weapons and equipment, set the hunting time, practice weapon handling and ballistics, then track wildlife through open terrain. Animals include red deer, European hare, wild boar, and fallow deer, each with behaviors shaped by sight, smell, and hearing. Players can use hunting towers or follow tracks while weapon choice, ammunition, and shot placement affect the hunt. Fresh animal spawns create a different challenge for each outing. A lodge provides space for taxidermied trophies, including wall, full-body, and table displays. Cooperative hunts support up to 6 players, who can hike, hunt, coordinate, and display trophies together.
How Virtual Hunter plays
- 01Wildlife tracking
- Animals respond to sight, smell, and sound, while larger trophy specimens have sharper senses.
- 02Weapon ballistics
- A practice range covers weapon handling and ballistics before hunts begin.
- 03Trophy lodge
- Taxidermied animals can be arranged around the lodge using several mount styles and poses.
- 04Cooperative hunting
- Groups of up to 6 players can explore, hunt, and gather at the lodge.
- 05Trophy progression
- Animals have four trophy ranks, multiple fur types, and records for personal bests.
