Our take on Virtual Battlegrounds
Instead of using conventional movement controls, this battle royale makes traversal a physical VR activity involving swimming, climbing, sprinting, sliding, and ziplines. It also adds basketball and melee attacks alongside its competitive shooting structure.
What is Virtual Battlegrounds?
Virtual Battlegrounds is a virtual-reality battle royale set on a dystopian island.
Matches support up to 24 players, with solo and squad modes. Combat includes physics-based weapons, ballistics, multiple guns, and weapon attachments. Movement uses physical actions such as swimming, climbing, sprinting, jumping, ziplining, and sliding, with no teleportation. The 4-square-kilometre map is built for the game. Other features include bots, private lobbies, ranked modes with an ELO system, spatial voice chat, public-lobby voting, and a shooting range. Players can use seated mode, left- or right-hand support, gunstock calibration tools, full-body IK, and other comfort options. The game also includes basketball, melee attacks, and in-game YouTube videos.
