Our take on VESTIGE
Rather than using conventional film viewing or game objectives, the experience makes physical movement part of the narrative. Exploring a memory changes which memories appear and creates a different route toward the same tragic event.
What is VESTIGE?
VESTIGE is a standing, room-scale VR documentary about Lisa remembering her lost love, Erik.
Viewers move through an empty space where fragments of their shared past appear. Exploring these scenes triggers memories and opens different routes through the narrative, with each viewing reaching Erik’s death through a different sequence. The experience uses volumetric capture, spatial sound, and no controllers. Headphones are recommended. It lasts 13 minutes and includes French audio and subtitles, with a French voice performance by Marion Cotillard. The work is based on a true story and incorporates audio interviews with Lisa Elin. Its presentation combines film, live performance capture, and interactive movement through memory.
