Play it if you…
Good fit- Mystery fans who want a compact, story-led puzzle adventure
- Players who enjoy photographing and annotating clues during investigations
- Adventure players who prefer item puzzles and wordplay over combat
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad or long-form adventure may find the compact setting and scope restrictive
- Those looking for action-focused gameplay may find the investigation and puzzle structure too slow
- Players who do not enjoy reading clues, taking notes, or solving wordplay may have limited interest
Our take on Veritas
The premise foregrounds questions about truth and memory, but the playable structure is a compact facility investigation built around photographs, notes, and puzzles. The philosophical framing sets expectations for a larger mystery than the focused puzzle format may ultimately provide.
What is Veritas?
Veritas is a compact narrative puzzle game set in a facility operated by Veritas Industries.
After volunteering for a study, the player wakes in a small room without memories of the previous day and must investigate the site to discover what happened and find a way out. Exploration covers the facility and its mysteries, while the Glitch Camera records posters, clues, walls, and other discoveries. Photographs can receive written notes and be displayed together for reference during puzzle solving. Challenges include inventory-based object puzzles and wordplay-based problems that advance the story. The game also includes a soundtrack composed by Richard J. Moir. Its central mystery asks what truth means and whether it matters.

- 03Mixed puzzle types
- Challenges include combining inventory items as well as solving wordplay-based problems.
- 04Facility investigation
