Our take on VEmpire - The Kings of Darkness
Rather than focusing on a sequence of campaign battles, this deck-builder frames each match as a contest to reduce an opponent’s empire points to zero. The Habsburg vampire theme also ties faction choice to the cards available in each duel’s market.
What is VEmpire - The Kings of Darkness?
VEmpire is a turn-based deck-building card game themed around Habsburg rulers reimagined as vampires.
Choose a king and faction, then use a starting deck of 10 cards to buy from a market shared with an opponent. Each player’s faction also supplies private market cards. Play attack cards to damage the rival’s empire points, or add empire cards to build up and defend an empire. Locations provide recurring gulden and let players hold cards for a later turn; spells have immediate offensive or defensive effects.
Complete card groups to increase the limit on mercenaries that can be added to an empire. The game includes more than 100 cards across four factions, with play against AI, friend duels, save-and-load for AI games, and a campaign called “The rise of the first father. ”
