Our take on Vector Prospector
The emphasis on precise controls and creative powerup combinations understates how much of the experience is built around repeated failure. The core loop remains focused on collecting five gems and escaping through hazards, so the advertised variety does not change the basic objective of each run.
What is Vector Prospector?
Vector Prospector is an arcade action roguelite built around four-button movement: left, right, move, and shoot.
Each run takes place in a generated, destructible cave system containing enemies, spikes, falling blocks, walls, energy limits, and five green gems to collect before escaping. Players can unlock ships and powerups, including options that slow time or support powerup combinations. Multiple powerups can be stacked, such as Triple Shot and Quad Shot, which together fire twelve bullets. The game also includes environmental interactions for turning enemies against one another, a final Guardian encounter, and a secret unlockable mode. Runs are intended to be difficult, with frequent deaths and skill-based progression.
