Play it if you…

- Action-game fans interested in sound-based navigation and hazard avoidance
- Players who want unlockable animal characters and a small collection system
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking long campaigns or extended missions may bounce off sessions that last about 2 minutes
- Players who do not want to listen for echoes and incoming threats may hit a wall during hunting and owl-avoidance sequences
- Players looking for deep combat systems, crafting, or expansive exploration may find the score-attack structure narrow
- Players seeking multiplayer competition may not find the cave encounters and collection system sufficient
Our take on ECHOLOCAUTION
The bounce point arrives when insect hunting and owl avoidance require interpreting echoes and preserving energy at the same time. Players seeking visual-only action or long-form progression may leave once the short score-chasing loop becomes clear.
What is ECHOLOCAUTION?
ECHOLOCAUTION is a score-attack action game based on bat echolocation.
Each session lasts about 2 minutes. Players hunt insects before dawn, earning points for catches and receiving a combo bonus when insects are eaten all at once during an echo. Incoming owls must be anticipated and avoided while remaining energy is maintained to increase the score. Several bat species can be unlocked as playable characters, including the immature parti-colored bat, free-tailed bat, and long-eared bat. In the bats’ home, players can meet a supportive megabat mother and white bat triplets. Unlocked playable bats also gather in the cave, where players can learn more about them. Objects found outside can be collected as treasures and stored in a box.
