Our take on Utopia
Instead of centering strategy on combat or resource warfare, the game makes building placement the main puzzle. Points depend on nearby structures, islands are generated for each round, and progression ends when the available buildings are exhausted.
What is Utopia?
Utopia combines city building, strategy, simulation, and puzzle elements on procedurally generated islands.
Each round begins with an empty island and a selection of construction blueprints. Buildings earn points based on the structures and surroundings present when they are placed. Points develop the island and open access to additional buildings. Roads, biomes, cities, production centres, and Islanders become part of the growing settlement. Players can complete missions, attempt World Wonder challenge levels, or use free play mode. Once an island reaches sufficient development, the game allows progression to another island. A round ends when no buildings remain, and the outcome depends on placement choices.
How Utopia plays
- 01Generated Island Maps
- Each round uses a procedurally created island, making the available setting vary between games.
- 02Point-Based Building

- 03Building Collection
- The construction set contains more than 30 building types.
- 04Mission Progression
- Completing missions grants access to additional buildings in later games.
- 05Free Play Mode
- A separate mode allows island building outside the mission progression.
