Our take on Untrusted
The store presentation emphasizes uncertainty, variety, and community, but the game also openly requires substantial knowledge before it becomes enjoyable. The 27 classes, 100-plus skills, faction rules, and several victory conditions make the learning burden a central part of the experience.
What is Untrusted?
Untrusted is an online multiplayer hacking and social deduction game for 10 to 16 players.
Participants join either NETSEC or the undercover AGENT faction, with neutral classes adding separate objectives. NETSEC players work toward root access on a target node, while AGENTs disrupt the operation and identify opportunities to eliminate opponents. Players inspect computer logs, maintain personal records, and compare information to assess who is telling the truth. Matches can end through successful hacking, faction-wide elimination, or mistaken authorization of an AGENT. The game includes 27 playable classes, more than 100 skills, unlockable avatars and badges, Discord integration, and RFC 5737 compliance.
