Our take on Unplugged
The focus on air-guitar performance narrows the experience to timed movement through a fixed song catalog. That gives the game a clear rhythm structure, but leaves less room for freeform playing or activities outside its staged rock career.
What is Unplugged?
Unplugged is a VR air-guitar game built around licensed rock songs and movement-based rhythm play.
Players select a track, follow its chord patterns, strum at the required moments and perform for a virtual crowd. A career-style progression opens additional songs, venues and guitar equipment. The game covers five decades of rock and includes more than 50 tracks, four difficulty settings and global leaderboards. Steel Panther guitarist Satchel serves as the mentor during the journey. Play is available with controllers or hand tracking through Valve Index controllers. The experience focuses on solo performance, song progression and score competition rather than open-ended guitar simulation.

Unplugged compared to similar games
Unplugged combines rock-song performance with VR hand movement, career progression and leaderboard scoring. Intralism is also a rhythm game, but centers on matching arcs to music, player-created beatmaps and online multiplayer rather than air-guitar performance. The other listed alternatives do not describe the same rhythm-performance focus.
