What is Unknown Tapes?
Unknown Tapes is a first-person horror game about surviving in a modern setting overrun by dinosaurs.
The story uses found-footage presentation and is expected to take 2–3 hours from beginning to end. Dinosaurs hunt the player, who must hide, control noise, and sometimes solve situations through observation and reasoning. Larger dinosaurs can destroy buildings, removing some indoor shelter. The game takes place mainly at night across outdoor and indoor locations, including confined spaces. Microphone input allows dinosaurs to detect real-world speech or shouting and react to it. Urban environments use photogrammetry, while VHS and bodycam effects support the game’s visual presentation. Motion tracking is used for camera movement.
