Our take on Under the blue horizon
The desktop-idle format gives the aquarium persistent visibility, but trades away the focused, hands-on pacing of an actively controlled simulation. Progress centers on observation, growth, collection, and arrangement rather than frequent direct interaction.
What is Under the blue horizon?
Under the Blue Horizon is an idle aquarium simulation intended to run alongside other computer activities.
Fish develop by consuming shrimp, while different species can be raised and observed. Fish byproducts can be exchanged for Aqua, which funds sea expansion and the placement of structures. Crawfish and jellyfish can be recruited to support resource collection and arrangement choices. Additional special companions provide functions connected to optimization, music, and new construction options. The aquarium can be adjusted with zoom controls, monitor selection, movable windows, and an always-on-top setting. Its desktop-based presentation allows the aquarium to remain visible while other work or games occupy the computer.
How Under the blue horizon plays
- 01Desktop Aquarium

- 03Aqua Economy
- Material left by fish can be converted into Aqua for enlarging the sea and adding structures.
- 04Helpful Companions
- Crawfish, jellyfish, and special companions provide resource, music, optimization, or construction-related functions.
