Our take on Under A New Sun
The bounce point arrives when survival systems take over the routine: hunger, thirst, weather, wounds, heat, hostile fauna, and resource processing all demand attention before exploration or construction can continue.
What is Under A New Sun?
After a ship failure leaves the player stranded on a planet resembling Earth, survival begins among wreckage, unfamiliar wildlife, and remnants of the crew’s technology.
Hunger, thirst, weather, wounds, hostile fauna, roaming machines, and heat shape daily play. Exploration covers islands, underwater areas, and old wrecks while the player investigates the crash and the crew’s fate. Resources can be gathered, refined, and turned into tools, equipment, and a home. Workstations use direct in-world interactions for tasks such as weaving cloth, cutting planks, processing hides, smelting ore, forging tools, and firing clay. Sailing follows wind direction, and electricity from wrecks or natural sources powers advanced technology. Solo play is supported, along with cooperative play for up to four people.

Mr. Prepper also combines survival and crafting, but centers on building an underground shelter while dealing with an authoritarian government and nuclear-war danger.
