Our take on Undead Development
Rather than treating defense as a fixed construction menu, the game centers on physical improvisation: furniture becomes building material, and objects can be nailed together into unusual weapons or traps. Its survival structure alternates between scavenging, rebuilding, and resisting attacks.
What is Undead Development?
Scavenge randomized loot across 8 open-ended maps, choose a base, and prepare it for attacks from the undead.
Furniture can be dismantled and reused to block openings, while a dynamic nailing system lets objects be attached to one another, such as an axe to a rifle or a bear trap to a baseball bat. The game includes more than 70 unlockable loot pieces, including over 30 unique guns and weapons. Each map has an unlockable night mode with greater difficulty, and 6 maps offer multiple bases. A home base includes a practice range. The game supports teleport movement, trackpad smooth walking, smooth turning, and snap turning. VR is required.
How Undead Development plays
- 01Randomized Scavenging
- Supplies, weapons, and ammunition are placed through a randomized loot system across the maps.
- 02Base Fortification
- Furniture can be broken apart and its pieces used to block openings and reinforce a chosen base.
- 03Dynamic Object Nailing
- The system allows objects to be attached to other objects, including improvised weapon and trap combinations.
- 04Unlockable Night Modes
- Every map has a night version that becomes available to play with higher difficulty.
- 05Movement Options
- Movement includes teleportation, trackpad smooth walking, smooth turning, and snap turning.
Undead Development compared to similar games
Mr. Prepper focuses on preparing an underground shelter and crafting in a nuclear-war setting, while Undead Development uses VR scavenging, physical fortification, and direct defense against undead attacks. Undead Development also centers on randomized loot across 8 maps and object-to-object nailing, features not described for Mr. Prepper.
