Players who need immediate action may bounce off the opening investigation: the game builds fear through conversations, object examination, and quiet signs of danger before delivering its central mystery.
What is Uncanny Tales: 1992?
Set in autumn 1992, this episodic horror adventure follows Anton, a 14-year-old boy left alone in his grandmother’s apartment after moving to a small town.
More than ten children have disappeared, schools are closed, streets are empty, and the police cannot stop the incidents. Anton investigates an unfamiliar home and the surrounding town while noticing sounds, movements, and encounters that suggest someone is watching him. Gameplay combines conversations with characters, observation of their behavior, and information gathering. Most objects can be examined, rotated, or used. The episode builds tension gradually through deserted streets, domestic spaces, and uncertainty about who can be trusted. Its setting recreates everyday life in the post-Soviet period through interiors and street environments.
