Our take on Unbox: Newbie's Adventure
Instead of centering a platformer on a human hero, the game makes a self-delivering cardboard box its protagonist. It also replaces a single standard campaign with local races and battles built around box physics, postal themes and collectible customization.
What is Unbox: Newbie's Adventure?
Unbox: Newbie's Adventure is a retro-inspired 3D physics platformer in which players control Newbie, a living cardboard box created to save the Global Postal Service.
The single-player campaign spans tropical islands and frozen peaks, with challenges, collectibles, hidden stamps, cardboard characters and boss battles. Completing world challenges earns stamps used to confront Boss Wild. Physics-driven environments include collapsing buildings and tumbling boxes. Local multiplayer supports four players in races and battles across modes such as Boxing, Collect, Thief, Oddbox and Delivery. The game includes 11 local multiplayer maps, a customizable tournament, and more than 40,000 combinations of hats, clothing, accessories and faces unlocked through challenges, stamps and rescues.
