- Players looking for modern presentation may not want a game built around updated menus, widescreen support, and revised physics rather than a new release
Our take on Gish
Players who need precise, conventional character movement may bounce off the physics system when the tar body interacts with traps and destructible surroundings. The level editor and community content also add complexity for anyone seeking only a fixed, linear campaign.
What is Gish?
Gish follows a 12-pound tar creature searching underground for Brea after she is taken through a manhole.
The adventure moves through the sewers of Dross, a forgotten city filled with winding passages, traps, creatures, and bosses. Dynamic physics and lighting shape movement and interaction with destructible surroundings. The game includes 34 or more story levels, over 20 collection levels, five hidden levels, and more than 80 player-created levels available for download. Six versus modes, unlockable modes, a level editor, over 15 animated enemy types, and six bosses extend the structure beyond the main story. The anniversary update adds the Lost Levels, revised physics, widescreen support, updated menus, and updated levels.
